Be Loosed From Your Bondage*

Three common bondages from which you ought to be loosed: Sleeplessness, Vexation and Fear. Remember: God is not the author of bondage, but of liberty. Read 2 Cor. 3:17, Lk. 4:18, Gal. 5:1.

 

FIRST: Sleeplessness. "For He giveth his beloved sleep"  Ps. 127:2. God is the giver of sleep. He knows our need of good, sound sleep at night. Satan is the author of insomnia. Jesus revealed him to be a thief (Jn. 10:10) who steals; he seeks to rob us of sleep. Sleepless­ness breeds nervous disorder, depression, physical infirmi­ties. Positively, God giveth His loved seep! Take your sleep from our good God who richly gives us all things to enjoy (1 Tim. 6:17, Js. 1:17). Refuse the devil's gift of in­somnia. Quote this Word, "I will both lay me down in peace and sleep; for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety" Ps. 4:8.

 

SECOND: Vexation. The Bible often mentions "vexed by unclean spirits." This word means ob­sess, harass, mob. Satan vexes your mind with impure thoughts, worry and frustration. He vexes you spiritually by hindering your freedom in prayer, worship and wit­nessing. He vexes you with wrong spirits that produce com­plaining, lying, pride; also a love of self, the praise of men, the world, money or eating intemperately. You needn't ask God to cast out these vexing spirits from your life. You can do it. "Resist the devil and he will flee from you" Js. 4:7. "In my Name shall ye cast out devils," de­clared Jesus. "The truth shall make you free!" In. 8:32.

 

THIRD: Fear. Are You experiencing a fear of death, fear of failure, fear of old age, fear of sickness, fear of poverty, fear of calamity? Likely, you face often "the fear of man which bringeth a snare" Pr. 29:25. These spirits of fear do not originate from God (2 Tim. 1:7). They are Satan's "gifts" to you. Don't accept them any longer! Refuse them in Jesus' Name. Receive God's gifts of power, love and a sound mind.

 

Affirm right now, "I will walk at liberty" Ps. 119:45. Jesus indignantly declared that every child of God "ought to be loosed" from every bondage of Satan (Lk. 13:16). Boldly walk in liberty! Praise the Lord for loosening your life!
