FANATICALLY HONEST*

FIRST:  Christians must be fanatically honest! "Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but  also in the sight of man" 2 Cor. 8:21. Honesty is of God. Dishonesty, lying and deceit are of the devil. " . . . Satan hath filled thine heart to lie" Ac. 5:3.When you lie, are dishonest or exaggerate, you are giving place to the devil. "Neither give place to the devil" Eph. 4:27. It's dangerous to lend your lips, your life to Satan. In that treacherous realm, evil spirits can control and torment you.

SECOND:  Lying or being dishonest is more than a moral wrong:  it's giving heed to seducing spirits. "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy, hav­ing their conscience seared with a hot iron" I Tim.4:1‑2. Plead the power of the blood of Jesus against these evil spirits; stand fast for truth in Jesus' Name.

THIRD:  God warns plainly about lying. "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but they that deal truly are His delight" Pr. 12:22. Of the seven things God hates, three of them are "a lying tongue . . . a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren" Pr. 6:17, 19. "All liars shall have their part in the lake of fire" Rev. 21:8. Among those outside of God's eternal Heaven are "whoremongers, and murd­erers, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie" Rev. 22:1 5.

FOURTH:  Provide things honest in the sight of all men" Rom. 12:17. We must be honest in paying our bills, keeping our word, abstaining from all appearance of evil.

FIFTH:  Fanatically honest! How? "Lord, renew within me a right spirit" Ps. 51:10. He will give you a right spirit . . . honest, true and pure. Understand God's hatred for lying, and dishonesty; a healthy fear of God will cause you to flee these seducing spirits. Only God can make you fanatically honest. Yield to Him!
