Mother, Home, and Heaven
Three Powerful Influences For "Great Living"*

JESUS Our Lord hallowed this Trinity: Mother, Home and Heaven, the sweetest words in the English language. 'Me word "mother" brings an abundance of "good cheer" to our hearts! "Home, Sweet Home" is really so when the Jesus‑love rules! And the glory of Heaven shall not be a mansion . . . it shall be Jesus Himself!
HONOUR THY MOTHER is God's command repeated many times in the Old and New Testaments. Nothing human is so irresistible or so unselfish as a mother's love. The Bible warns against a light regard towards our mothers. Express your love and appreciation for your mother personally, or in a warm letter. Do it often! In dying agony on the cruel cross, Jesus gave us the example to honor our mothers and be actively concerned for their welfare.
MOTHER You will read the Bible pattern for your life in Proverbs 31:10‑31. Mothers, your prayer duty is your most important responsibility to your family. The prayers and influence of mothers are among Heaven's choice ways to win souls to Christ.
HOME "There's no place like home." Amen. Most important is that every member of the family knows the Savior, and they CAN (Acts 16:31). And ALL should be filled with the Spirit, "for the promise is unto you, and to your children" Acts 2:39. Is your home a miniature "hell on earth" where there is strife, envy, bitterness, unkindness? Or is it a "heaven on earth" because Jesus is the Lord, and daily worship prevails in the home? A love‑ruled home will stand strong against all that would threaten to destroy, for "many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it" Song of Solomon 8:7.
HEAVEN contains a Register of those who have been born of the Spirit. "Rejoice, because your names are written in heaven" Luke 10:20. "Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" Revelation 20:15. If your name is written there, then you have cause for "great rejoicing!" But if your name is not recorded in heaven, it can be . . . "Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13. Ask the Lord RIGHT NOW to save your soul. Pray, "Lord, be merciful to me a sinner; I receive by faith Jesus Christ as my personal Savior!"
