WHAT YOU CAN DO The secret of this card is to affirm aloud each step. Make it personal to your own life. Then you will be one of God's "used ones," that indomitable Christian who really gets things done . . . through Christ who indwells you. FIRST: "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me" Philippians 4:13. The Bible is God's Word. When God says a thing, He means it. I can do what God says I can do! SECOND: Jesus said, "In my Name shall ye cast out devils . . . You shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover" Mark 16:17-18. I can do that! In His Name I can cast out demons, and minister healing to the sick. THIRD: Psalm 37:4, "Delight thyself also in the Lord, and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." I can have the desires of my heart, for I am delighting myself in the Lord! FOURTH: Acts 1:8, "Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me." I can witness in power for I have the Holy Spirit in my life! FIFTH: Isaiah 53:5, "With His stripes we are healed." I can possess healing and health for by His stripes I am healed! SIXTH: John 13:34, "Love one another, as I have loved you." I can love others even as Jesus loved me, for His love is shed abroad in my heart. I love with His love! SEVENTH: 1st Corinthians 1:30, "Christ Jesus is made unto us wisdom from God." I can have divine wisdom in every crisis, for Christ Himself is my very wisdom. EIGHTH: Proverbs 28:1, "The righteous are bold as a lion." I can be bold as a lion, for I have been made righteous with His righteousness (Romans 10:10, 2nd Corinthians 5:21). NINTH: Daniel 11:32, "The people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits." I can do exploits for I know my God Who makes me strong! TENTH: 2nd Peter 1:3, "His divine power hath given us all things that pertain to life and godliness." I can enjoy ALL THINGS that pertain to both life and godliness, and I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me! BOLD LIVING CARD No. 2 Mrs. Betty Munson, Lynnwood, Washington - (letter to Michael Gossett) Dear Michael: Greetings in Jesus to you, young brother in the Lord! What a joy it has been to have you on with your dad on radio this week. I can't help but wonder how it has been that you haven't been on the air before. Perhaps you were and I missed the broadcast. It was one of the Lord's unexpected privileges for me to be able to hear all of the Gossett family last year. So hearing you tell of your experience overseas was truly a blessing. After the broadcast yesterday, I called my prayer partner and how we lifted you and your family. It really is beautiful to know a family so rightly related to our wonderful Lord and your dad's ministry becomes ever more precious to me because I know he lives in Jesus and Jesus lives in him and you children are the proof of your parent's devotion to God. Praise God, He gave me your dad as a teacher some seven years ago! And praise Him for the many thousands like myself for whom Don Gossett was and is their teacher! In hearing you, Michael, I discern a zeal that the Lord will use mightily in the days and years left until He comes. I know it must be hard some time to follow in your dad's footsteps, but remember that some times your dad finds it hard to follow in his Heavenly Father's footsteps. It's so wonderful to know that all our thoughts are God inspired when we live in Him and by acting and obeying the Spirit moving within us, all our prayers are answered. Hallelujah! God bless you, Michael. Mrs. Daisy Green, Swetes Village, Antigua - Well -praise God, it has been a reality that we can fellowship one with another daily by means of radio. You know, Brother Don, as I was listening to your broadcast one morning and you prayed, it was just as though you were beside me in person. How that particular prayer went through me and I felt just different. Praise God, the tears just went down my eyes and I just wept saying praise the Lord. |
